Coffee cocktails
Dark, bitter, and grounding, coffee lends depth and a roasted edge to cocktails that call for something more than sweetness alone — as any glass of Irish Coffee will confirm.

Irish Coffee
✦ Proven classicMediumIrish coffee glass
Hot coffee, Irish whiskey and sugar under a float of cold cream — the definitive warmer.

- ◆50 ml irish whiskey
- ◆120 ml coffee
- ◆1 tsp simple syrup
- ◆50 ml heavy cream
Method
- 1Pour hot coffee into a warmed glass and stir in the whiskey and sugar until dissolved.
- 2Lightly whip the cream so it just thickens.
- 3Float the cream over the back of a spoon so it sits on top.
